A giant robot battles a knight amid tentacles and monsters in a fantasy game setting.

At the bottom of this page, you can find downloadable versions of 2 mats.

Your Setting

This spot is reserved for your Defending Location card or Battlefield Conditions card, depending on the Skirmish.

Opponents Setting

This spot is reserved for your opponent's Defending Location card or Battlefield Conditions card, depending on the Skirmish.

3 Character Spots

These 3 spots are reserved for character placement. A character can move between spots on the battlefield by using 1 energy.

North and South Locations

These 2 spots are reserved for discovered locations or plots for building structures. Structures built in the North are more vulnerable to attack, and most discovered locations allow you to play an additional character.

Your Deck and Graveyard

The Deck spot is where you place your main 30-card deck, and the Graveyard is where eliminated or used cards and items go, unless noted otherwise.

Energy Pool

Each player has 6 dots at the bottom of the mat that represent their energy pool, with a maximum of 6 energy cards used per turn. Once you acquire an energy card and add it to your pool, slide it under the mat by the corresponding dot to save space. Your energy pool resets each turn, both on offense and defense. Any characters with energy directly attached can use that energy in addition to the energy in your pool.

Miscellaneous

Your Side Deck and Structure cards are optional and kept off the game mat. Both are accessed only through direct actions, and any cards played are revealed immediately.
